CS Day - February 11, 2012

CS Day

So you’ve decided you are going to university but are still exploring your program options. Test drive a degree in computer science or informatics at Dal’s Computer Science Day. High school students and their parents, teachers and friends are invited to take part in this full-day, free event on Saturday, February 11 at the Goldberg Computer Science Building.

Find out more

Hear from professors with ideas on how to creatively personalize your degree opportunities, current students on co-op opportunities and their entrepreneurial ventures, and an alumnus on his post-graduation experiences.

Eat lunch in one of Dalhousie’s residence dining halls and take a campus tour.

Cool demonstrations

Steer robots through lego mazes, hack the Kinect to experiment with full body Kinect interaction, learn web app security threats and build a drawing app using Python.

There is no cost to attend this full day of programming, but space is limited. Register early to get your seat in the sessions you want. We’ll meet in the Goldberg Computer Science Building to get your day started.
